just launched a limited-time welcome bonus offer, and it’s worth up to a whopping 250,000 points.
You can earn five Free Night Awards (each night valued up to 50,000 points, certain hotels have resort fees) after you spend $8,000 on purchases in your first six months from your account opening (offer ends March 20, 2024). This is a stellar offer if you enjoy staying at Marriott Bonvoy brands such as Sheraton, Westin or Courtyard by Marriott, and value benefits such as Gold elite status and booking discounts. The card offers other valuable perks that make its $125 annual fee well worth paying, including an annual Free Night Award worth up to 35,000 points.
This is a small business credit card, so you’ll need to have a business to qualify. However, it doesn’t have to be a big corporation or have a formal business structure — if you’re a sole proprietor or have a side gig such as freelancing or driving for Uber, you’re eligible to apply. If you don’t have a small business, be sure to check out a similar limited-time offer on the personal Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card

. New Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card holders can earn five Free Night Awards (each night valued up to 50,000 points) after you spend $5,000 on purchases in your first three months from your account opening.
Let’s look at what the Marriott Bonvoy Business credit card has to offer to help you decide if it’s a good fit for you.
Marriott Bonvoy Business credit card: Earn 5 free nights
Previously, the Marriott Bonvoy Business offered three Free Night Awards (worth up to 50,000 Marriott Bonvoy points each) to card holders who made at least $6,000 worth of purchases within their first six months with the card. The new offer is a substantial improvement, but it’s got some limitations.
No matter how you redeem your Free Night Awards — whether at budget-friendly brands such as Fairfield or Springhill Suites, or more upscale properties such as Aloft or Element hotels, you’ll only get five nights from this bonus. If you’d rather stretch your rewards into more free nights, this offer isn’t the best deal for you. In addition, Free Night Awards expire one year from the date of issue, so if you don’t have travel plans coming up, you’ll want to wait for a different offer.
Keep in mind that Marriott Bonvoy doesn’t have an award chart that assigns each hotel a category and points price. Instead, it uses dynamic pricing, which means the number of points you’ll need for an award night may depend on time of year, demand and other factors. The good news is that you can “top-up” Free Night Award certificates with up to 15,000 points from your Marriott Bonvoy account, which means you can potentially redeem your free nights at hotels that cost up to 65,000 points.
Other Marriott Bonvoy Business benefits
Beyond a big welcome bonus, the Marriott Bonvoy Business offers attractive benefits for travelers who like to stay with Marriott. Of these, perhaps the most valuable is the Marriott Free Night Award you’ll receive each year after the month your card renews. The award is valid at Marriott Bonvoy hotels that cost up to 35,000 points (keep in mind that certain hotels have resort fees).
You can unlock a second Free Night Award if you make $60,000 worth of purchases with your card in a calendar year. You can also top off these awards with up to 15,000 points from your account, effectively allowing you to use them at properties that cost up to 50,000 points.
I’ve had this card for many years and have consistently redeemed my annual Free Night Award at hotels that cost upward of $200 per night. Most recently, I used my Free Night Award to book a Residence Inn that would normally cost $237. That’s the main reason I keep the card — despite its $125 annual fee, I know I’ll always come out ahead.
If you pay to stay at Marriott hotels, the Marriott Bonvoy Business can save you money, too, because card holders get a 7% discount on eligible bookings. That can amount to a significant savings if you’re a frequent traveler.
The card also gives you complimentary Marriott Bonvoy Gold elite status, which comes with decent perks, including 2 p.m. late checkout and enhanced room upgrades (when available), and a 25% points bonus on stays. And if you’re working toward a higher level of elite status in Marriott Bonvoy, you’ll get a head start with 15 elite night credits added to your account each year.
Other perks include secondary car rental insurance, baggage insurance, purchase protection and extended warranty. Employee cards are free to add, and this card doesn’t charge foreign transaction fees. You can read our full review of the Marriott Bonvoy Business card for more details.
