CITRONELLE, Ala. (WKRG) — The Citronelle Police Department is investigating a series of early-morning vehicle burglaries and seeks a man for questioning.
According to a CPD news release, several cars were broken into between midnight and 5:40 a.m. Thursday near a golf course off Beverly Jeffries Highway in Citronelle.
GENERAL INCIDENT LOCATION:
During the burglaries, a vehicle’s window was broken to gain entry, according to police, who said no forced entry was made into the other vehicles.
Several items, including credit cards, were reportedly removed from the burglarized vehicles. According to reports, the stolen credit cards were used at two gas stations in Prichard, a Family Dollar in Biloxi, and a Big Lots in D’Iberville.
Video surveillance reportedly captured a male suspect purchasing items with the stolen cards. The CPD provided these stills from the footage.
In addition, Citronelle police want to question Xavier Shepard, pictured below, about the vehicle burglaries.
According to police, Shepard has active warrants with the Department of Corrections and is a suspect in the March 7 burglaries and several that occurred in February in the Lebaron Avenue area.
