A 40-year-old Kenosha man is accused of illegally spending thousands of dollars at local convenience stores with his ex-company’s credit cards.

Kevin T. Anderson is charged in Kenosha County Circuit Court with two counts of felony unauthorized use of an entity’s identifying information or documents and felony theft of moveable property valued over $5,000, along with a handful of misdemeanor bail jumping charges.
Anderson made his initial appearance at Intake Court Tuesday where a court commissioner imposed a $5,000 cash bond.
Anderson is accused of illegally using Southport Transportation credit cards throughout 2023 and spending over $7,000 with them at local gas stations and convenience stores, according to the criminal complaint.
Last week, Kenosha police officers received a report from one of the company’s employees about suspected fraudulent use of company gas cards.

The employee said that while he was switching company credit cards for transportation he noticed that two separate gas cards had been used without company authorization. The employee provided a printout of fraudulent transactions that allegedly occurred between June through September.
The employee identified the individual in question as Anderson, who had been employed by the company for approximately one year but had been terminated for his poor driving record, according to the complaint.
The employee reportedly said over $7,000 had been used by Anderson in unauthorized purchases and nobody gave Anderson permission to use company cards for such alleged purchases.
The employee said the alleged transactions began appearing “a few days after” Anderson was fired, according to the complaint.
Surveillance photos reportedly showed Anderson at local convenience stores when illegal activity allegedly took place.
The total number of illegal transactions amounted to “146 transactions occurring within Kenosha County and 38 outside of Kenosha County for a total loss of $7,074.94,” according to the complaint.
Anderson was arrested Oct. 23. At the time of the alleged thefts Anderson was out on numerous bond, according to court records.
