Ohio State’s 2026 season is officially underway. After months of work at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center, the Scarlet and Gray were finally able to hit someone else and showcase themselves to Buckeye Nation and the rest of the country.
The first result was positive. Ohio State beat Ball State 56-3. It was the kind of commanding win you would expect from the top-ranked team in the country and a 50.5-point favorite against a Mid-American Conference opponent.
Put another way, the Buckeyes handled business.

OFFENSE
Grade: B
The Buckeyes went three-and-out on the first drive of the game. That was not great. However, the Scarlet and Gray quickly responded with three straight touchdown drives, essentially putting the game to bed early in the second quarter.
